My name is Alysha Grafford. I have been teaching since 2010, specifically ELA since 2016. I am excited to work with you and your child this year!
I graduated from Brantley County High School in 2003 and began my collegiate career at Brewton-Parker College on a softball scholarship immediately after.
After a few years, I transferred to Armstrong Atlantic State University to be closer to home and my husband. I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education from AASU in December of 2009. I finished that school year as a long-term substitute throughout Brantley County, and began teaching private Pre-K the following year. In 2011 I moved to Brantley County High School as a History teacher. In 2013 I completed my Masters of Science degree in Reading and Literacy and made the move to ELA several years later.
I have since completed my Educational Specialist degree from NOVA Southeastern University in Curriculum & Instruction as well as Tier 1 Educational Leadership from the University of West Georgia. I am an assistant softball coach at BCHS, BCMS girls' basketball coach, and assitant BCMS baseball coach. Reading is my passion!
I reside in Hortense with my husband, Daniel, and our two children, Gaven and Addisyn. My spare time generally consists of following my children around in their athletic pursuits... you will likely find me either on a softball/baseball field or in a basketball gym on any given weekend. On the occassional off-weekend, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family... near any form of water, camping, and simply relaxing with a good book in my hand.
